A programme of improvement works at the O2 Centre on Finchley Road has commenced, designed to further elevate the visitor experience. The multi-million-pound investment will refresh public spaces and broaden the mix of brands and amenities, creating an even more welcoming destination for people to shop, meet, work and spend time.
Works are now underway within the central atrium, including the installation of a new staircase and new seating areas. These changes will enhance the look and feel of the space, improve connectivity throughout the centre and create more opportunities for visitors to pause, relax and gather.
New wayfinding and signage will be introduced throughout the centre, making it easier for visitors to navigate the destination and find the shops, services and leisure facilities available.
This investment is designed to ensure the O2 Centre remains an important local amenity as plans for the wider masterplan continues to progress. The improvements are intended to enhance the centre for visitors in the immediate term, with the O2 Centre remaining fully operational throughout.
Ant Foran, Centre Director at O2 Centre, said: “We are driven to continue to invest and breathe new life into the O2 Centre, evolving it into a more vibrant space for everyone. That means improving the public spaces, bringing forward new leisure and hospitality offerings, and creating a stronger mix of experiences for the local community.
“Crucially, the O2 Centre will remain open throughout the programme of works, and we are committed to making sure it continues to serve the community while we invest in its future.”
The improvement programme forms part of a growing mix of leisure, health and wellbeing brands at the O2 Centre, with exciting new and enhanced experiences strengthening the centre’s leisure and fitness offer.
Vue has recently re-opened following a refurbishment, unveiling a fresh new look alongside the latest big-screen technology and its innovative retail concept, Vue Your Way – a first for London.
Third Space Gym is also set to arrive in 2027, introducing its distinctive, high-end fitness concept to the centre. The new facility will feature state-of-the-art gym equipment, an extensive programme of classes, a swimming pool, and dedicated spaces for health, recovery and relaxation.
As part of the works, SOHO Coffee is also set to relocate to a new unit next to Sainsbury’s in October, underlining the brand’s continued commitment to the centre and its customers. The new location will offer an enhanced environment for customers to meet, relax and enjoy the brand’s range of food and drink.
The works represent an ongoing commitment to the O2 Centre and its role within the local community. While the wider masterplan sets out an exciting long-term vision for the area, the additional investments being made in the centre is designed to continue to improve its spaces, strengthen its offer and ensure it remains open and accessible throughout its transformation.
