KIMS Hospitals, the British Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS) and leading NHS organisations from Liverpool have announced their shared intent to establish a clinical and academic collaboration aimed at fostering long-term research, medical education, and healthcare innovation between India and the United Kingdom.
The collaboration brings together KIMS and BIMS with NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group (UHL Group), Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust and The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust.
This partnership intends to establish a dynamic platform for the organisations to develop programs for research, medical training and clinical exchanges. This platform will also enable Indian doctors to gain valuable experience within the UK healthcare system and for UK doctors to undertake clinical fellowships across the KIMS Hospitals network in India, with BIMS supporting the coordination of these opportunities.
This announcement reflects the shared vision and intent of the organisations. The formal framework will be governed by the MoU signed between the Parties and other standard institutional agreements.
