MARC SINGS MARC
LONDON CADOGAN HALL – FRIDAY 9TH APRIL 2027
Marc Almond and Chris Braide will sing the songs of Marc Bolan and T.Rex at London Cadogan Hall on Friday 9th April 2027.
A few years ago, Marc Almond and producer/musician Chris Braide—both Marc Bolan and T. Rex fans—recorded an album of Marc Bolan songs. The idea was to turn what were originally guitar-led tracks into piano-led, torch-style ballads, showcasing Marc Bolan as a truly great songwriter.
The album, a personal selection of curated songs from deeper in the catalogue, features Marc Almond (duetting with Marc Bolan) and includes samples. However, the use of those samples has naturally led to copyright concerns, which means the album remains on the shelf for the moment, awaiting a release.
Marc and Chris will perform the album in its entirety, along with a number of other favourite Marc Bolan and T. Rex songs. Marc will be accompanied by Chris Braide on piano for an intimate, personal show—marking 50 years since Marc’s untimely death and celebrating the music of a beloved star. They will end the evening with a selection of favourites from their own song catalogue.
Tickets for the new show at London Cadogan Hall on Friday 9th April 2027 go on sale Friday 9th October at 9:30am and will be available from www.gigsandtours.com / www.ticketmaster.co.uk
