Westgate Oxford is setting the stage for a spooktacular Halloween, hosting a lineup of free family-friendly activities and entertainment this half term.
Guests will be able to see the pages of classic fables come to life during the centre’s live pumpkin carving event on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st October. Taking place from 10am – 5pm each day, the event will invite guests to watch as master carvers bring iconic storybook villains to life, from the formidable Queen of Hearts and the Wicked Witch of the West to the Big Bad Wolf, transforming ordinary pumpkins into wickedly detailed masterpieces.
Alongside watching the live pumpkin carving, guests can attend Westgate Oxford’s popular free crafting club throughout half-term. Running from 11am – 5pm on weekdays, the crafting club invites young guests to get hands-on with Halloween-inspired arts and crafts.
Beyond the half term activities, Westgate Oxford is the perfect family-friendly day out destination. Visitors can explore leading brands including the new LEGO® store, catch the latest blockbusters at Curzon Cinema, or challenge each other across nine holes at Ted’s Crazy Club. When it comes to dining, guests can take advantage of the Kids Eat Free offers at Westgate Oxford’s eateries including Dirty Bones, The Beefy Boys and Victors.
Clare Martin, Centre Director at Westgate Oxford, said: “Oxfordshire has a rich literary history, so we’re thrilled to celebrate this connection with our live pumpkin carving event, bringing famous fairytale villains to life right before guests’ eyes.
Paired with our themed crafting club, Kids Eat Free dining deals, and family-friendly retail and leisure offerings including LEGO, Curzon Cinema, and Ted’s, Westgate Oxford is set to be spellbinding fun for all ages this half term.”
