Leicester named amongst the UK’s top 10 weight loss capitals, as A quarter of residents turn to healthy meal prep orders to lose weight.
Across the UK, people are choosing meals with controlled calories and, often, lower fat and carbohydrate content, with over one in five national meal prep customers opting for regular lower-carb meals.
With this in mind, a new report by healthy meal prep service Prep Kitchen has revealed the UK’s fat-loss capitals, as well as the most common cities for meal prep delivery and bulking.

While across the UK, the average proportion of national customers choosing regular lower-carb meals is 21.8%, in the top-ranking cities for this meal type, those figures almost double, to 39.4% in Epsom, Surrey, 34.5% in Maidenhead, Berkshire, and 32.4% in Walsall, Staffordshire, 32.4%.

The UK fitness industry is now worth more than £5.7 billion. That is thanks to roughly 1 in 6 adults going to the gym – an overall total of 11.5 million gym members1.
Almost two-thirds (65%) of 25-34 year olds in the UK exercise, the most of any demographic. In comparison, just under half (48%) of the whole population currently exercises2.
