A new study has crowned the most beautiful England players of this World Cup according to the Golden Ratio.
The study, conducted by Centre for Surgery, analysed the looks of all players from England’s National Team according to the Golden Ratio, which is a mathematical proportion used to measure facial symmetry, balance, and harmony. Faces that align more closely with these proportions are often perceived as naturally attractive.

Noni Madueke ranks as the most beautiful England player according to the Golden Ratio, with a score of 73.29%. The Arsenal forward came out ahead of every other England player analysed in the study.
Ivan Toney places second, scoring 72.23%. The Al-Ahli forward finished just over a percentage point behind Madueke, taking the runner-up spot in the ranking.
Jude Bellingham comes in third place, with a Golden Ratio score of 71.83%. The Real Madrid midfielder was the highest-ranking midfielder in the study, placing ahead of several of English football’s biggest names.
Anthony Gordon takes fourth place, scoring 71.24%. The Newcastle United forward was one of the most recognisable names to feature near the very top of the ranking.
Jordan Henderson is fifth, with a score of 70.54%. The Brentford midfielder completed the top five, placing 0.70 percentage points behind Gordon.
Declan Rice places sixth, scoring 70.27%. The Arsenal midfielder finished narrowly behind Henderson, showing how tightly packed the top of the ranking is, and how important these differences are within the Golden Ratio.
Bukayo Saka ranks seventh, with a score of 69.78%. The Arsenal forward is one of three Arsenal players to appear in the top 10.
Harry Kane takes eighth place, scoring 69.22%, while Kobbie Mainoo ranks ninth, with a score of 68.61%. The Manchester United midfielder was followed by Manchester City’s Nico O’Reilly, the highest-ranking defender in the study, who completes the top 10 with a score of 68.58%.
Sophia Ensor, spokesperson for Centre for Surgery, has commented on the findings: “The ranking shows a surprising twist, as many would assume that the players we already consider the most attractive would naturally score highest on the Golden Ratio too. Noni Madueke topping the ranking ahead of Jude Bellingham despite him being one of the most recognisable faces in world football right now is a great example of how the Golden Ratio works purely on proportion and symmetry, not on the charisma or style that shapes how attractive we think someone is.”
