Van Cleef & Arpels has announced the latest chapter in its iconic Ludo collection,
introducing five new High Jewelry bracelet creations that reinterpret one of the Maison’s most emblematic designs.
Originally created in 1934, the Ludo bracelet draws inspiration from the world of couture, reimagining the silhouette of a belt through an exceptionally supple gold mesh and an elegant buckle-shaped clasp.
Remaining faithful to its distinctive aesthetic while continually evolving, the collection is now enriched with five new creations that combine vibrant gemstones, coloured gold and exceptional craftsmanship.
The new designs celebrate Van Cleef & Arpels’ remarkable savoir-faire, pairing yellow, white and rose gold with carefully selected sapphires, emeralds and rubies, as well as ornamental stones including
lapis lazuli, chalcedony, chrysoprase and, for the first time, sannan skarn. Each bracelet showcases intricate briquette or honeycomb mesh, meticulously assembled link by link to achieve extraordinary flexibility and comfort.
Echoing the Maison’s rich heritage, the creations also feature the historic star-setting technique, first introduced on Ludo designs in the 1930s,
alongside hand mirror-polishing and exceptional gem-setting techniques that bring depth, brilliance and movement to each piece.
