This September, Denmark Street Sessions returns for a second year. The live performances, talks and pop-ups all centred around music and culture – will erupt again along the London street that is an indisputable music icon. A place where Bowie became Stardust, The Sex Pistols once lived and where The Rolling Stones and Black Sabbath recorded their first albums. Rooted in legacy but playing for tomorrow, Sessions is a celebration of culture and creativity – with free entry to all venues.
Part street party, part open house, with a series of intimate live shows, Sessions sees stores, bars and venues throw open their doors for one full day and night of artistic expression – from day time talks to midnight beats. Curated by the community and powered by a collective of like-minded creatives, Sessions is an illustration of the community on the iconic Denmark Street.
From spirited residents including Regent Sounds Studios, Thirteen LDN, Wunjo, The Lower Third, Roland, Beautifully Romanticised Accidentally Traumatized, Rough Trade, Sixty Ink, Dawsons – Denmark Street Sessions is united by a mission to champion new music and honour legacy. Throughout the day, guests will encounter over 20 live performances from emerging and established talent, along with talks hosted by legends and industry disruptors.

Personally, it’s been a driving force throughout my life, and I can’t wait to bring The Dash back to where we first started out. The programme will follow a passion for the new and the cutting edge of underground music with special guests showing their support throughout the day. Talent will be a blend of new and next, along with some of the names and faces that helped make the street what it is today. The daytime will consist of talks led by artists, writers and heritage talent, along with an afternoon of intimate gigs. The evening will roll into a full programme of music, broken up across the individual venues where Marshall will be supporting with the back line.
For a snapshot of what to expect, Eaves Wilder will perform live at Rough Trade. Songwriting from childhood and harnessing an early obsession with 60’s Motown records, The Beatles and the left-field pop of Lily Allen – her inspirations while endless first kicked through with the riot grrl movement. Piano rocker Henri Herbert plays the bones live at Roland. Meanwhile Esme White, 8 Before Ava and Elsie Franklin will all perform live at Regent Sounds Studio, who will also host a talk with Crispin Weir on why Denmark Street is the home of British Music. In addition, Cam & Friends will play Dawson’s and smokeshow will also perform at Rough Trade while Wunjo Guitars will host Moondusty and Moon Music Orchestra – plus much more.
Bringing a raw energy to Thirteen LDN, rock and roll DJ Claudio Traina of Sixty Ink will spin throughout the night, plus underground hotspot dial8 will host a talk on ‘The Art of Making the Moment’ with music photographers sharing visual language around some of the most famous images in music history. In addition, Denmark Street Originals will return – The Dash – who are reforming for one night only, just feet away from the location of their first ever show, the London based underground indie punk dynamos will bring their legendary sweaty, adrenaline fuelled and exhilarating sounds back to the place where it all started. Making a triumphant return and this year as headline act – PINK JUICE will close out the night at Thirteen LDN. Hailing from the Midlands, UK, they blend British rock ’n’ roll, ’90s hip hop, and electronic textures with the warmth and groove of ’70s soul. Celebrating the now of everything, the collective is driven by a desire to return to the real and spark genuine connection – reminding us that community is the only thing that’s real as they close out the day.
A huge variety of intimate gigs, talks and happenings will also be available across the venues and stores including Rough Trade, Beautifully Romanticised Accidentally Traumatized and Moonrays. In addition, there will be pop up performances and appearances from secret guests and an after party.
