A Milton Keynes-based payments business is being celebrated for its lasting contribution to the local community and economy. CreatePay has been recognised with The Orange Hat Plaque – in a ‘Doff of the hat’ to Britain’s historic Blue Plaques scheme – by Allica Bank.
The Orange Hat Plaques have been created to shine a spotlight on established businesses that deserve to be celebrated. Established businesses, those with between 5 and 250 employees, from family manufacturers and local care providers to sports clubs, schools, pubs and food producers, provide services communities rely on every day. They are also the backbone of the UK economy, creating jobs and supporting local supply chains up and down the country. In fact, once you travel further than 25 miles from a metropolitan centre, these businesses support around half of local jobs according to an Oxford Economics Report released in June. Yet despite their significance, they rarely receive the recognition they deserve.
To recognise those contributions, CreatePay is one of a number of businesses to receive The Orange Hat Plaque as a physical mark of their significance. These businesses have been recognised not simply for their financial success, but for what they mean to the places and people around them.
CreatePay is a UK-based fintech that helps businesses manage and streamline their payment processes, making it easier to pay suppliers and manage cash flow. It supports established businesses with technology designed to simplify financial operations and give them greater control over their payments.
