Five Iron Golf Celebrates London Launch With Action-Packed Vip Opening Party

Five Iron Golf is celebrating the launch of its first UK venue with a Grand VIP Opening Party at its London Broadgate location.

Having opened its doors in July, the venue will mark its arrival on the London social and entertainment scene with a special celebration on Wednesday 9 September from 5pm to 9pm, hosted by the presenters of the Golf Is Ruining My Life podcast.

The much-anticipated party will give invited media, VIPs and guests the chance to experience everything Five Iron Golf has brought to the capital, with an evening of virtual golf, interactive multi-sports, complimentary drinks, delicious food, competitions and entertainment.

Comedians Tom Green and Tom Price, presenters of the popular comedy sports podcast, will bring their trademark humour to the celebrations.

Guests will be able to enjoy complimentary drinks and food throughout the evening while exploring the 6,900-square-foot venue and trying out its state-of-the-art Trackman simulator bays.

While golf is at the heart of Five Iron, the opening party will showcase just how much more the technology can do. Guests will also be able to take on friends at lots of other games including footgolf, zombie dodgeball, disc golf, hockey, bowling, basketball, clay pigeon shooting as well as football challenges including penalties, free-kicks and target practice.

There will be plenty of competition on the golf side too, with guests invited to take part in a Closest to the Pin contest and battle it out for prizes on the night.

Eric Parker, CEO of Five Iron Golf, said: “The response since we opened our doors in London has been incredibly encouraging. We’ve loved seeing golfers, first-timers, colleagues and groups of friends all embrace what Five Iron is about. We’re building something that goes well beyond traditional golf, a place where people can play, eat, drink, compete and spend time together, and this party is a chance to celebrate that with London.”

The Grand VIP Opening Party will showcase Five Iron as much more than a place to play golf. The venue has been designed as a new social and entertainment destination for London, bringing together sport, games, food, drinks and live entertainment in one place.

Located at Broadgate Circle, 1 Finsbury Avenue, moments from Liverpool Street Station, Five Iron Golf’s first UK venue features eight Trackman golf simulators alongside a full-service bar and restaurant, with screens showing major live sport, including Premier League football and Formula 1.

Guests can play more than 400 of the world’s best-known golf courses through Trackman technology, with complimentary Callaway clubs available. But no golfing experience is required, with the venue designed to be just as much fun for complete beginners and groups looking for a night out as it is for experienced players.

Five Iron Golf began in New York in 2017 and has since grown into a global indoor golf and entertainment brand with more than 50 locations across 20 US states and seven countries. The London venue is the first under plans to open 10 Five Iron Golf locations across the UK.

The Grand VIP Opening Party takes place at Five Iron Golf, Broadgate Circle, 1 Finsbury Avenue, London, on Wednesday 9 September from 5pm until 9pm.
