Cala Homes (Thames) has stepped in to support St Michael’s Primary School as it makes a final push to raise funds for a much-needed refurbishment of its ageing bathroom facilities.
The school has been working to secure the final £6,000 required for the project, which will replace old toilet facilities and ensure they are safe and fit for purpose for pupils and staff.
Cala’s £1,000 donation is helping the school close that final funding gap and move the project a step closer to completion.
Work is due to begin at the start of the summer holidays and finish in time for the new academic year in September.
Matt Thompson, Headteacher of St Michael’s Primary School, said: “School funding is becoming increasingly challenging every year, and without Cala’s support our already difficult financial situation may have been even worse.
“Their donation has helped us meet our contribution to this essential project, and we’re extremely grateful for their commitment to our school community”.
