Travellers from London and the East of England will once again be able to fly direct to Munich for the world-famous Oktoberfest, as Lufthansa brings back its seasonal festival flights from London Stansted.
The German flag carrier has added extra services between Stansted and the Bavarian city during the event, making it easier for travellers to visit the annual festival.
Held in Munich each autumn, Oktoberfest attracts more than six million visitors and is known for its huge beer tents, traditional food, live music and fairground rides.
The additional flights will operate six days a week until October 7, with two flights a day on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Visitors to Munich can also take in some of the city’s other attractions, including the Allianz Arena, home of German football giants Bayern Munich.
