Milton Keynes, 28 May 2026 – CUPRA continues to challenge convention and as CUPRA-supported athlete and creator Tom Kopke claimed victory at the world-famous Cooper’s Hill Cheese Rolling Race for the third consecutive year.

Known online as Tooleko, Kopke successfully defended his title against a field of fearless competitors, including local legend and Guinness World Record holder Chris Anderson, who came out of retirement in an attempt to reclaim the crown.

Held on the near-vertical slopes of Cooper’s Hill in Gloucestershire, the iconic event is recognised globally as one of Britain’s most extreme sporting traditions. Dating back to 1836, the race attracts competitors and spectators from around the world, cementing its reputation as one of the most unique and demanding downhill races on the planet.

Competitors launch themselves down a 200-yard hill with a 50% gradient in pursuit of a wheel of Double Gloucester cheese, where instinct, bravery and commitment matter more than control.

By supporting Kopke, CUPRA brings together two worlds connected by unconventional performance — proving that racing is defined not by format, but by spirit. The partnership forms part of the brand’s wider mission to challenge traditional perceptions of competition and performance.

In 2025, CUPRA launched a movement to challenge the traditional definition of “racing” in the Oxford Languages dictionary, expanding the conversation beyond convention and celebrating the many forms competition can take.

From circuits to culture, from engineered precision to raw human instinct, CUPRA believes racing exists wherever passion, performance and challenge collide.
