London Stansted has strengthened its position as the UK’s leading gateway to Italy after expanding its network to 30 destinations, making Italy the best-served country from the airport.
From the historic streets of Rome, Venice, Naples and Florence and regional favourites such as Bari, Brindisi, Perugia, Pescara, Reggio Calabria to the stunning beaches of Sardinia, Sicily and Puglia, London Stansted’s extensive Italian network provides passengers with more choice than ever for summer getaways, city breaks and visits to family and friends.
The milestone reflects the continued popularity of Italy with passengers taking advantage of the extensive network operated by London Stansted’s airline partners, including Ryanair, Jet2.com and BA CityFlyer, giving passengers more choice and flexibility than ever before.
With more than 30m passengers travelling through London Stansted each year, Italy continues to rank among the airport’s most popular international markets, with demand growing across both traditional holiday destinations and regional cities.
The airport’s Italian network now includes:
Ancona, Bari, Bologna, Brindisi, Cagliari, Catania, Florence, Genoa, Lamezia Terme, Milan Bergamo, Naples, Olbia, Palermo, Parma, Perugia, Pescara, Pisa, Reggio Calabria, Rimini, Rome Ciampino, Rome Fiumicino, Salerno, Trapani, Trieste, Turin, Venice, Verona, together with additional services to Sicily and Sardinia.
Passengers can also begin their Italian experience at the airport by visiting Terrocotta Italian Kitchen in the departure lounge where they can dine and enjoy authentic cuisine before taking to the skies.
